Even now, after all the years that have gone by, I still wake up early on Easter morning with a sense of wonder, magic and gratitude. I remember opening my eyes, getting out of bed and going into the front room to see that the Easter Bunny brought me a basket filled with delightful chocolate and some little toys. I can recall my grandmother and aunt and uncle coming over later in the morning, which meant it was time to hunt for the hidden Easter eggs which were carefully concealed so as to make it a challenge to find them. Afterwards, we would go to Church and sitting there looking around, I was filled with a sense of beauty, for it was always decorated with lovely lilies and the priest would wear a magnificent chasuble with a radiant golden cross. The message of peace, sacrifice, redemption and most importantly love were eloquently spoken of. We at Panda Cub Productions want to wish everyone peace and joy upon this Easter day and hope that it is filled with wonder, magic and gratitude for all the good and truly wonderful people and events of our life. And if you are lucky enough to see the Easter Bunny give him my warm regards.

We just had a very gratifying little iMoo review over at Best Apps 4 Kids, which is a brand new review site focusing upon children specific apps. I spoke with Casey, who is the creator of the site some months ago about reviewing iMoo, which he was quite in favor of doing. He asked if I would be a patient panda and wait till his new site was ready for launch, which we both thought would be a very good fit for iMoo. Well, good news for all! The wait it over, for he sent me an email this morning saying that his site is now up and running and that he posted his review of iMoo! Casey said that iMoo, “is a great beginner app for toddlers because of its ease of use and introduces them to the motion features of the iPhone. And, of course, everyone loves a moo-in-a-can.” Sweet, simple and apropose! It is really neat to see our first app become such a fun, helpful and encouraging apparatus for the little tykes. It is even better to hear how much the young um’s really love their iMoo.

Just a little update from Panda Lord here…both of our latest apps that are currently in the programming phase are coming along very nicely, so it is very exciting to see them painstakingly being worked upon…As I type this post, I am listening to some of the music that the Panda Wizard has created for our “El Guante Brillante” app. I must say that the music he comes up with is pure cosmic, sonic harmony! I will keep you posted as we move through the Beta stages and get ready to release them! Go Team Panda!

If your looking for a relaxed, down home manner of a blog then look no farther than Knatolee’s World, composed by Natalie Rowe. She recently reviewed iMoo and gave us wonderful and delightful write up! I have to say that not only is she a sweetie, but she is also a real trooper too! The promo code I sent her unfortunately is only good within the U.S. and Natalie resides in Canada! Our Northern neighbor went ahead and bought iMoo out of her own pocket! Having overcome that particular hurdle, she went on to say that, “I am most pleased with iMoo and would recommend it to anyone with an iPhone or iPod Touch and a sense of humour. The graphics are very appealing, the sounds are cowishly delightful, and it’s cheap fun. No doubt kids would love it, and since I never grew up, I am in bovine love. Go treat yourself to a virtual can of Holstein happiness!” Now if that does not bring the cows home then I don’t know what will! So head over to Natalie’s blog and take in the lovely countryside flavor!

Being that it is a Monday morning, I figure we all need a little pick me up right? I have been saving this one for a few days now for just this grand opportunity. Tami Winbush over at Misc. Ramblings has a wonderful contagious sense of enthusiasm and is the perfect antidote needed for a Monday morning! She emphatically starts off declaring ”MINE MINE MINE!” so as to let the reader be well aware of the fact that she gets first crack at enjoying iMoo before her children! I had a vision of the scene where Yoda beats R2-D2 with his staff. Now that’s a passion for iMoo that might even exceed our own! Tami goes on to say how she had “soooooo much fun playing” iMoo. Dang skippy she did! We were given “4 thumbs up… for simplistic, enjoyable, downright fun on the iPhone.” Best of all though, is the fact that we were able to bring her “a smile when [she] really needed it”. Yet again, the little iMoo makes a big hit!

We had a nice, friendly iMoo review by Jason Huber over at kidsiphoneappreview.com. He notes that iMoo “is a nice remake…like you used to see in stores like KB Toys.” That right! We want to help bring back the classic vibe that so many loved and enjoyed when they were growing up. His oldest son, who is nine “thought it was a blast and was rolling on the floor laughing!” Now that is the sort of thing we love to hear! We wholeheartedly strive to promote good old fashion jollity. Jason even made a fab little video of iMoo in action. How cool is that! Great to see another dad and son enjoy iMoo, that is makes all the work worth it!

We are proud to announce the launch of the Panda Cub Productions YouTube Channel which will help showcase our apps by way of a short video. Our very own Panda Wizard (aka Tim) did a stellar job creating our first one which highlights iMoo! Some fun background information which you might find interesting is that the music used for the video was composed by a joint collaboration between Tim and our dear friend Marco Jimenez, while the “moo” recording originated from David Wills (aka The Weatherman), one of the front-men of the band Negativland. So head on over and check out our majestic YouTube iMoo video!

Our good friend Rod recently released a playful and lighthearted iPhone/iPod Touch app rascally entitled Mr. Happy, The Melancholy Sausage. As you have probably already imagined from the title, part of the fun of Mr. Happy is how you manipulate and interact with the little fella. What is really astonishing is that Rod has had no prior experience with programing, let alone Objective C, which is the programing language used to create iPhone/iPod Touch apps. Well, truth be told, it really not much of a surprise to us, for we know how innovative and diligent he is with his work. He is the creative tour de force behind The Wishing Well, a multiple award winning romantic comedy short film told in a stylized popup-book fairy tale manner. What is really awesome is the fact that he literally did everything. He was responsible for all aspects of the film, from the camera work, editing, to the special effects and of course acting. Not only does he plays every single character in the film, but he concocted all of the twenty-six characters make up as well! So if you are in the mood for a good time, why not download Mr. Happy and then make some popcorn and watch The Wishing Well.
